IPTV on Roku: what works
Roku does not offer IPTV player apps in its store. Here are the reliable ways around it.
Roku is the most common streaming platform in the US, so we get this question daily. The honest answer: the Roku channel store does not carry IPTV player apps like the ones used on Fire TV or Android TV, so there is no direct install.
There are two dependable workarounds. First, screen mirroring from an Android phone or Windows PC to your Roku (Miracast), or from an iPhone, iPad or Mac to a Roku that supports AirPlay. Second, and our recommendation if you watch daily: plug in an inexpensive Fire TV Stick or Google TV streamer into a spare HDMI port and use a native app. It is a more stable, better-looking experience than mirroring.
Mirroring works well for occasional viewing and for testing a trial before you decide. For the main living-room TV, a dedicated streaming stick is the better answer.
